The Kia EV9 is now getting its performance-oriented offshoot with the GT variant. Compared to the "normal" EV9, there are not only special design elements, but also a decent plus in performance and sporty equipment.

Kia EV9 GT – More power for the family SUV
Compared to the "normal" Kia EV9, the GT version comes with 122 hp more power. The plus is due to more powerful motors on the front and rear axles, so that the Kia EV9 GT can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

The Kia EV9 GT will have a 160 kW motor on the front axle and a 270 kW motor on the rear axle, which together should have a system output of 508 hp. To support the more powerful engine of the all-wheel-drive vehicle, there is an electric chassis and a virtual gear shift. As with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, this simulates gear change with background noise, power interruption and rev limiter to create a sporty driving experience. The electronic damper control (ECS), together with the new "Road Preview System", which detects road characteristics such as potholes via cameras and sensors, is intended to ensure a comfortable and dynamic driving experience.

To control the additional power, Kia also gives the EV9 GT stronger brakes in a striking neon green color. The familiar 99.8 kWh battery from the normal EV9 is also retained in the GT model. This should give the new sporty SUV a range of 505 km. Charging times are fast due to the 800 V architecture. The EV9 GT manages to charge from 10 to 80% within 24 minutes.
Kia EV9 GT – Sporty design
The EV9 GT also comes with exclusive design elements to make it stand out from the regular EV9. On the exterior, these are the exclusive 21-inch rims, between which you can clearly see the GT brakes. A custom light signature and GT pattern on the air intakes also underline the sportier character of the EV9 GT.

In the interior, the neon green accents continue with the ambient lighting and the trim elements on the seats. The steering wheel is also tuned to the GT design language and blends in with the other exclusive GT elements, such as the infotainment interface and digital instrument display.
Kia EV9 GT – Sales launch and prices
The sports version of the Kia EV9 is available to order now and the models are scheduled to be delivered to customers in Q3 2025. The list price of the Kia EV9 GT is €89,990 and Kia offers the usual seven-year warranty on the vehicle.

Compared to the list price of € 82,380 of the normal EV9 with GT Line equipment, this is a surcharge of just under € 7,000. However, the Kia EV9 GT also offers significantly more power as the top variant.
